India's first electric motor

In 1920, Naidu built India’s first electric motor capable of running on both AC and DC power — assembled from salvaged parts in a rented room in Madras.

1925

Mechanical calculator

Naidu designed a mechanical calculating device when such tools were exclusively imported from Europe. His version was compact and locally sourced.

1935

Rasant electric razor

One of the world’s earliest electric razors. Won 3rd prize at the prestigious Leipzig Fair in Germany — putting Indian innovation on the global map.

Bus ticket vending machine

A mechanical ticket dispensing machine for public buses — conceived decades before automated transit ticketing became common worldwide.
